Seoul, en.SERU.co.id — RESCENE leader Woni has drawn attention from Pokémon Trading Card Game collectors after cutting open a sealed booster pack from the center during a recent YouTube livestream.
During the livestream on August 21, 2026, Woni used scissors to cut directly through the middle of the pack instead of opening it from the edge. The cards inside were also cut in the process.
According to a report published by allkpop on August 22, Woni has previously shared her interest in collecting Pokémon cards through her YouTube content.
A clip of the moment circulated on X, drawing reactions from both K-pop fans and Pokémon TCG collectors.
Collectors React to the Unusual Opening
Some Pokémon card collectors expressed strong reactions to the clip. One viewer described the moment as something that “PISSED me off,” while another said watching the cards being cut made them “cry over paper.”
Some viewers speculated that the unusual opening method may have been intentional to generate a reaction. However, there is no confirmation that Woni deliberately intended to damage the cards.
Supporters of RESCENE, meanwhile, noted that the booster pack belonged to Woni and viewed the incident as a lighthearted moment.
Discussion also appeared on the r/rescene subreddit, where some users suggested that the opening method could have been related to a store promotion. This explanation has not been independently confirmed.
Neither THE MUZE Entertainment nor Woni has issued a statement regarding the incident.
