Tokyo, en.SERU.co.id — Xdinary Heroes has withdrawn from its scheduled appearances at Summer Sonic 2026, just one day before the Tokyo show. The cancellation was announced on August 13, 2026, hours after JYP Entertainment confirmed that leader and drummer Gunil had left the group.
According to the official Summer Sonic account, Xdinary Heroes was scheduled to perform at the Pacific Stage in Tokyo on August 14 and the Massive Stage in Osaka on August 16. Organizers said the agency requested the withdrawal, resulting in the cancellation of both performances. No replacement artist will fill the slots, and ticket refunds will not be issued specifically for the cancellation.
Earlier on August 13, JYP Entertainment announced that it had reached a mutual agreement with Gunil to terminate his exclusive contract after discussing the seriousness of the situation involving the member. His departure took effect immediately.
Xdinary Heroes will continue as a five-member group consisting of Jungsu, Gaon, O.de, Jun Han, and Jooyeon. The agency apologized to fans for the sudden announcement and said it would support the remaining members’ future activities.

Background to Gunil’s Departure
The announcement followed online posts on August 11 from an individual identifying as Gunil’s former partner. The person shared alleged private recordings and messages and accused Gunil of using derogatory language toward fans.
JYP Entertainment did not disclose specific details about the allegations in its statement, citing the seriousness of the situation as the basis for the contract termination.
The rapid sequence of events—from the online allegations to Gunil’s departure and Xdinary Heroes’ withdrawal from Summer Sonic—left little time for changes ahead of the festival.
Xdinary Heroes debuted under JYP Entertainment in December 2021 and will now continue its activities with five members.
