Brussels, en.SERU.co.id — Westlife have been confirmed as the headline performers for Katie Taylor’s farewell fight at Dublin’s Croke Park on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
The Irish pop group will perform as part of the entertainment surrounding Taylor’s final professional bout, which is expected to draw more than 80,000 fans to the sold-out stadium.
Taylor, the Bray-born boxer and 2012 Olympic gold medalist, will face undefeated French fighter Flora Pili in a fight for the undisputed super-lightweight championship. Taylor currently holds the WBA, WBO and IBF titles, along with the Ring Magazine belt, while the vacant WBC title is also at stake.
The event will mark the first professional boxing show at Croke Park since Muhammad Ali fought Al “Blue” Lewis at the stadium in 1972.
Westlife said they were “so honored to be asked by Katie to perform at this historic night.”
“She has inspired the whole country, and we couldn’t be prouder to perform for her at Croke Park, a stadium that also means so much to us,” the band added.
Westlife have previously performed six sold-out shows at Croke Park and have sold more than 55 million records worldwide. Their appearance comes just days before the group begins a 13-night residency at Dublin’s 3Arena as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations.
The fight is promoted by Matchroom Boxing and Aiken Promotions. The event will be broadcast worldwide on DAZN and in Ireland on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player.
Further entertainment acts are expected to be announced later this week.
