London, en.SERU.co.id – Irish band The Corrs, best known for the songs “Breathless”, “Runaway” and “So Young”, have confirmed that they are working on a new studio album. It would be their first collection of original material since 2017’s Jupiter Calling.

Drummer and vocalist Caroline Corr shared the news in a handful of recent interviews.

“We’ve been doing a lot of different types of things the last few years, and we are recording another album, which I have to say is a real surprise to us, actually,” she was quoted as saying by mirror.co.uk.

Caroline also admitted the band thought they were done making records.

“We didn’t think we’d ever do another album again… but it seems we are! We’re all meeting to write songs, and we’ve got another album in us, which is really exciting.”

The Corrs started writing songs earlier in 2026 and are now moving into the recording phase. Word is they’re back at RAK Studios in London, the same place where they cut several of their earlier albums. This upcoming release will be their eighth studio album, following White Light (2015) and Jupiter Calling (2017), both of which came out after a long hiatus.

A major reason behind the return is the success of their Talk on Corners tour (2024–2025). Fans around the world gave it a warm reception. The tour brought back the nostalgia of the band’s golden era in the late ’90s and early 2000s. Right now, The Corrs are also playing a string of summer 2026 shows in Spain, including a set at the Tio Pepe Festival on 13 August.

So far, the band hasn’t announced a title, release date, or first single. But many expect the album to drop sometime in late 2026 or early 2027. Fans are loving the news. Most are hoping the new material keeps that classic Corrs sound: a blend of pop, Irish folk, and strong melodies.
