Westlife to deliver bigger stadium spectacle as they mark 25 years in Jakarta
Jakarta, en.SERU.co.id – Irish pop legends Westlife are set to return to Indonesia for a special concert as part of their Westlife 25: The Anniversary World Tour. The show is scheduled for Saturday, January 23, 2027, at the iconic Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium in Jakarta. This marks the only stadium-scale performance by the group in Southeast Asia throughout the anniversary tour.
The announcement has generated significant excitement among Westlife’s loyal fanbase in Indonesia. Promoters Folago Pro and Sound Rhythm are targeting more than 50,000 attendees, making this the largest venue the band has ever played in the country.
Ahmad Satrio, Head of Marketing and Communication at Sound Rhythm, revealed that the Westlife members personally chose GBK Main Stadium for their milestone celebration.
“At that time, discussions regarding this 25th-anniversary tour were already underway. They wanted their 25th anniversary to be held there (the GBK Main Stadium),” Satrio said, as quoted by Tempo.co.
He added that the upcoming show will be on a much grander scale compared to the band’s previous performance at GBK Madya Stadium.
“It will definitely be bigger and more magnificent,” Satrio noted.

Meanwhile, Michael Haumahu, Chief Marketing Officer of Folago Pro, emphasized the comfortable and memorable experience planned for fans.
“Next year we will give something more memorable at the GBK Main Stadium. We can all sing along together. Everyone will be seated, so there’s no need to worry,” Haumahu said, as quoted by Tempo.co.
