Seoul, en.SERU.co.id – CORTIS has set a new Instagram record after its official account surpassed 15 million followers on August 5, 2026, according to a statement released by BIGHIT MUSIC on August 8.
The milestone came roughly one year after the account’s first post in August 2025. BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed that CORTIS is the only K-pop group to have reached 15 million Instagram followers among acts that debuted within the past five years. The label also stated that the group holds the fastest overall record for any K-pop group to reach this figure.
As of 10 a.m. KST on August 8, CORTIS also ranked first among boy groups debuted in the same five-year period on other major platforms, with 15.82 million followers on TikTok and 6.24 million subscribers on YouTube.
Strong Growth After Lollapalooza Appearance
The rise in followers accelerated after CORTIS performed at Lollapalooza Chicago on August 1, 2026. The performance was watched by an estimated 50,000 festival attendees, while videos of the set circulated widely on social media.
CORTIS is currently on its 2026 North American tour, titled “Put Your Phone Down,” with dates scheduled through August 16. The group will then perform at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium on August 22 and 23, followed by three shows at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa, Japan, from September 4 to 6. Additional appearances are planned at ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2026 on September 20 and the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix on October 9.
The title track “REDRED” from the group’s second mini album GREENGREEN has remained on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart for 15 consecutive weeks, ranking at No. 189 for the tracking period of July 31 through August 6.
