Singapore, en.SERU.co.id — Mamamoo returned to Singapore with a sold-out concert on Friday, July 31, marking the group’s first full-group performance in the city in three years as part of their 4WARD World Tour.
The nearly three-hour concert featured live vocals, solo performances, and interactions with fans throughout the show.
CNA Lifestyle’s Hazeeq Sukri captured the evening perfectly in his review published the next day.
“If there’s one thing guaranteed at a Mamamoo performance, it’s powerhouse live vocals. And that’s exactly what Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein and Hwasa delivered,” he wrote.
The set opened with a soulful Mr. Ambiguous before diving into fan favorites. Decalcomanie received a fresh rock-edged arrangement that let the members’ voices really cut through, while HIP gave Moonbyul room to showcase her rapid-fire rap. Solo stages proved another highlight, with three members stepping off the main stage to interact with the crowd. Hwasa, in particular, owned those moments with effortless fan service and stage command.
The Moments That Made It Feel Alive
Beyond the vocals, it was the unscripted laughter that made the night special. Moonbyul randomly shouted “Chilli crab!” during Waggy, instantly winning the local crowd. Wheein broke into genuine laughter mid-solo. And leader Solar, after admitting she had run out of English phrases, turned “Thank you” into a running gag for the entire second half of the show.
“Friday’s show was filled with moments where already-exceptional performances were elevated thanks to the Mamamoo members letting loose,” CNA Lifestyle noted.
Educator and longtime fan Belle, who attended the concert, summed it up simply: “Mamamoo’s live vocals and stage presence were on an unparalleled level, and the concert was a blast.”
The official Mamamoo account echoed the warmth the following day, posting a message of gratitude to Singapore Moomoos:
“Thanks to the Moomoos who waited for the day we could meet again; our flowers were able to bloom once more in Singapore.”
Tickets for the roughly 12,000-capacity venue had sold out within minutes when they went on sale in June, continuing the strong demand the tour has seen since its Seoul kickoff in mid-June. The Singapore stop followed successful shows in Kaohsiung and Macau, and the group now heads to Manila on 8 August before a seven-city run across the United States.
For those who were there, the night was more than just another concert date. The concert marked Mamamoo’s first full-group performance in Singapore since 2023 and highlighted the group’s chemistry following several years of individual activities.
