Jakarta, en.SERU.co.id — Just one week after releasing all 10 episodes on June 5, 2026, the Korean series Teach You A Lesson (original title: Chamgyoyuk) has shot to the top of Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English series in several countries, including South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Philippines, etc.
The action-school drama, adapted from the webtoon Get Schooled, follows a special government unit called the Educational Rights Protection Bureau (ERPB). It sends tough inspectors with military backgrounds to handle extreme bullying, corrupt parents, and failing schools. At the center is Na Hwa-jin (Kim Moo-yul), a former special forces captain who delivers firm “lessons” to those who cross the line.
Critics and viewers are calling it one of the year’s strongest releases so far. Forbes praised its smart writing and addictive feel-good quality. It currently holds an 80% Tomatometer and 91% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, 8.7 on IMDb, and 8.9 on MyDramaList.
Many teachers and bullying survivors find it especially satisfying. One teacher shared on Reddit:
“As a teacher, this series was pure dopamine. I started with one episode and accidentally completed all 10 in one night. Seeing students, parents, and even schools being held accountable… was incredibly satisfying.”

Kim Moo-yul earns strong praise for his cool, John Wick-style performance. The solid supporting cast includes Lee Sung-min, Jin Ki-joo, and Pyo Ji-hoon (P.O). Director Hong Jong-chan reunites with his Juvenile Justice stars for this project.
While the original webtoon faced criticism for violence and racism, the drama takes a more refined approach focused on supporting victims. Korean critics have responded positively overall.
The series has also sparked conversations about South Korea’s education pressures, teacher burnout, and parental responsibility. Fans are already urging Netflix for a second season.
