FASIDA Clarifies Emergency Landing of PK-S360 Aircraft in Blora

Malang, en.SERU.co.id – The East Java Regional Indonesian Aero Sport Federation (FASI) has issued an official clarification regarding the emergency landing of the privately built aircraft registered PK-S360 in Ngawen Village, Blora Regency, Central Java. The statement was delivered directly by the Chairman of FASI East Java, who also serves as Commander of Abdulrachman Saleh Air Base, Air First Marshal Reza R.R. Sastranegara, in Malang on Monday (7/9/2026).

Air First Marshal Reza explained that the PK-S360 aircraft had earlier been flown to take part in the Pangandaran Air Show held on 4–6 September 2026. After the event, the plane was scheduled to return to its home base at Abdulrachman Saleh Air Base in Malang. The planned route was from Pangandaran to Adisutjipto Air Base in Yogyakarta before continuing to Malang.

“The aircraft landed at Adisutjipto Air Base in good condition. After a thorough inspection and being declared ready for flight, the plane took off again from Adisutjipto Air Base at 12.07 WIB with an estimated arrival at Abdulrachman Saleh Air Base at 15.42 WIB,” said FASI East Java Chairman Air First Marshal Reza.

However, at 13.27 WIB, FASI East Java received information that the aircraft experienced engine failure (lost power) while flying over Blora Regency. Facing the emergency, the pilot promptly carried out the emergency procedures and checklist. The aircraft was eventually landed safely in Ngawen Village, Blora Regency.

The two crew members, Dhony Vasmin and Ignatius Andreas, were confirmed safe and in good health. Both immediately received medical checks at the Ngawen Village Community Health Center. Despite the successful landing, the PK-S360 aircraft later caught fire and was completely destroyed (total loss).

“Alhamdulillah, both crew members are healthy and safe. The emergency landing was carried out properly according to procedures,” Air First Marshal Reza said.

He added that FASI East Java is currently collecting all data and conducting an in-depth analysis to determine the exact cause of the engine failure.

“The results of this evaluation will later be used as learning material and preventive measures so that a similar incident does not happen again in the future,” he concluded.

FASI East Java emphasized that this official release was issued to clarify various information circulating on social media and prevent public confusion.
