Seoul, en.SERU.co.id — South Korean actor Jang Dong-yoon will marry actress Kim Seung-yoon in October after a long-term relationship, his agency BH Entertainment confirmed on August 25.
The couple will hold a private wedding ceremony attended only by their families. The ceremony will take the form of a quiet worship service, with no public invitations or specific venue announced.
Jang also shared the news through a handwritten letter posted on his social media account. He said he would marry “someone who has been by my side for a long time” and explained that spending years together had allowed them to understand and cherish each other more deeply.
“We have decided to support each other from the closest possible position and live happily and joyfully together,” Jang wrote.
How Jang Dong-yoon and Kim Seung-yoon Met
Jang Dong-yoon and Kim Seung-yoon first met while working on the 2019 KBS2 drama The Tale of Nokdu, which marked Kim’s acting debut.
Their relationship later developed as they worked together on films directed by Jang, including Be My Ears and Nuruk, in which Kim played the lead role. Jang has expanded his career into filmmaking, directing both projects.
Kim Seung-yoon, born in September 1997, is five years younger than Jang, who was born in July 1992. She studied film and video at Konkuk University and has primarily appeared in independent films and other acting projects since her debut.
The couple has kept their relationship private, with the marriage announcement marking the first major public confirmation of their relationship.
The wedding will be held privately in October, with only family members in attendance.
