Seoul, en.SERU.co.id — Tensions between actor Kim Soo-hyun and the family of the late Sulli have flared up again, just days after South Korean police cleared him of allegations involving the late Kim Sae-ron.
Choi Geon-hee, Sulli’s older brother, posted a pointed message on his private Instagram account on May 21, which many interpreted as a direct warning to Kim.
“The moment you crawl back out, it’s Round 2. The choice is yours,” he wrote.
The following day, Choi escalated matters further. He claimed to possess a 37-minute audio recording of a phone conversation with Sulli’s former manager. According to Choi, the recording touches on Kim Soo-hyun, singer IU, and details of Sulli’s personal struggles at the time, including issues with her agency and mental health.
“I have a lot I want to ask, but I’m holding back for our mother’s sake,” he stated in the post, adding that everything in the recording is genuine.
The latest outburst stems from a long-running dispute over the 2017 film Real, in which both Kim Soo-hyun and Sulli appeared. Sulli’s family has previously demanded answers, alleging she was pressured into filming nude scenes despite promises that a body double would be used. Kim’s agency, Gold Medalist, has firmly denied any coercion took place.
Choi’s renewed comments appear to be a response to police clearing Kim Soo-hyun in the Kim Sae-ron case, where authorities determined that alleged evidence, including KakaoTalk screenshots and voice recordings, had been fabricated or generated using AI.

Public reaction has been mixed. While some fans of Sulli support her brother’s stance, others, including portions of her own fanbase, have criticized him for repeatedly using her name to engage with celebrity controversies. In the past, Choi has faced similar backlash and even issued apologies for his actions.
As of now, Kim Soo-hyun’s representatives have not issued any official response to the latest posts. The situation has once again highlighted the deep divisions within Sulli’s family and fan community over how her legacy should be handled.
