Los Angeles, en.SERU.co.id — BLACKPINK’s Lisa is set to make history as the first Thai artist to perform at a FIFA World Cup opening ceremony. She’ll take the stage on June 12, 2026, at SoFi Stadium, ahead of the United States’ opening match against Paraguay.
FIFA announced the news in early May, adding Lisa to a strong lineup that includes Katy Perry as the headliner, along with Future, Anitta, Rema, and Tyla. A few more artists are still to be confirmed.
“Blackpink’s Lisa is about to turn the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Los Angeles into her Moonlit Floor as the first Thai artiste and first female K-pop act to open the tournaments,” quoted by CNA Lifestyle.
This will be the first World Cup with 48 teams, co-hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico, which is why each host country gets its own opening celebration. The LA event starts about 90 minutes before kickoff, with plenty of fan activities planned around the performances.

Lisa’s huge international fanbase, especially among younger viewers in Asia and Latin America, makes her a natural fit for FIFA’s push to connect football with global pop culture. There’s no official word yet from Lisa or her agency LLoud on what she’ll sing, but fans are already buzzing about a possible mix of her solo hits.
The 2026 World Cup runs from June 11 to July 19, with the final scheduled in New York New Jersey.
