Batu, en.SERU.co.id — The Batu City Health Office has carried out coaching and mentoring on Clean and Healthy Living Behaviour (PHBS) and Occupational Safety and Health (K3) at Koramil 0818/33 Bumiaji. The activity took place on Thursday, 30 July 2026, in collaboration with Puskesmas Bumiaji.
Zuhriyatul Haq, SKM, Health Promotion Programme Holder at the Batu City Health Office, speaking on behalf of Head of the Health Office Dr Aditya Prasaja, explained that the session forms part of ongoing cross-sector health synergy with local partners, including the Koramil and the sub-district leadership forum.
“This is a routine observation and question-and-answer session by the health mentoring team, combined with Free Health Checks (CKG) for the community,” Zuhriya said.
The Health Office worked with Puskesmas Bumiaji to deliver the full program. Officials hope institutions such as Koramil 0818/33 Bumiaji, which maintain close ties with residents, will actively pass on health promotion messages to the wider community.
From the Health Office’s review, overall PHBS and K3 practices at Koramil Bumiaji are already quite good and clean. Supporting facilities are adequate, including a clean office environment, available hand-washing stations, and a smoke-free area policy that requires smoking outdoors.
Routine health checks are also well established. In addition to services from the community health center, Koramil members regularly undergo independent medical examinations every six months at the Kodim level.

Although the post already meets most PHBS and K3 indicators, the Health Office team offered several suggestions for further improvement. Waste management, while already covered, needs better segregation going forward. Fire extinguishers and first-aid kits are in place, but clearer evacuation routes and designated assembly points should be added as emergency preparedness measures.
Through this mentoring, the Batu City Health Office hopes health and occupational safety standards at institutions such as Koramil, police stations, sub-district offices and religious affairs offices will continue to rise. At the same time, local apparatus is expected to play a stronger role in educating the broader public. (dik/ono)
