Seoul, en.SERU.co.id — YG Entertainment is celebrating its 30th year since founding on February 24, 1996, with a busy slate of projects that blend legacy acts and fresh talent. 2026 also happens to be a milestone year for its biggest stars: BIGBANG turns 20, while BLACKPINK marks a decade.
In early March, founder and chief executive producer Yang Hyun-suk shared the company’s roadmap in a video announcement titled “2026 YG PLAN.” Speaking directly to fans, he kept things straightforward.
“This year marks YG’s 30th anniversary. Rather than sharing special sentiments, I want to say that we will continue making music here, staying true to our roots as we look ahead to our 40th and 50th anniversaries,” Yang said.
The biggest highlight is BIGBANG’s return. Yang confirmed the group has agreed to stage concerts together under the YG banner for their 20th anniversary.
“We have agreed with the BIGBANG members to hold a concert. Because we’ve worked together for so long, all the YG staff will give their absolute best effort to produce the most perfect and beautiful BIGBANG performance,” he added.
A full world tour is expected to kick off around August, following their reunion appearance at Coachella earlier this year.
BLACKPINK’s 10th anniversary is also part of the moment, though their plans lean more toward special fan content rather than a major tour this time around.

On the active roster, BABYMONSTER is rolling out a mini album titled “CHOOM” in May, followed by a full album in the fall and a large-scale world tour that will hit multiple continents. TREASURE is preparing a new mini album with a stronger “YG-style” hip-hop flavor and will continue building momentum.
Looking further ahead, YG is gearing up for the next generation. A new five-member boy group is targeting a debut in fall 2026 — the agency’s first in six years — while additional members of the tentative girl group “NEXT MONSTER” are expected to be revealed soon.
As of mid-May, the company appears to be in solid shape financially, with these anniversary-driven projects expected to deliver strong results throughout the year. Fans are also buzzing about possible bigger family-style events, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
Overall, YG’s approach to its 30th year feels less like pure nostalgia and more like a practical push to keep moving forward.
