Surakarta, en.SERU.co.id – The wedding of Putri Dalem Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Arya (K.G.P.A.A) Mangkoenagoro IX, G.R.Aj. Ancillasura Marina Sudjiwo or Gusti Sura, with K.P.H. F.X. Adimas Rosdian will be enlivened by a bridal procession on Saturday, November 7, 2026. This tradition becomes part of the series of Hajad Dalem Dhaup Ageng as well as a momentum for the two brides and grooms to greet the people of Surakarta.
The procession is scheduled to take place starting around 4:00 p.m. WIB. The two brides and grooms will follow a parade involving the bregada ranks and Mangkunegaran arts elements.
Spokesperson for Dhaup Ageng Mangkunegaran, K.P.H. Drs. Tjuk Susilo, MPA, said the procession has the meaning of introducing the two brides and grooms to the community after undergoing the series of wedding processions.
“This procession also has the philosophy of introducing to the community. The two brides and grooms who start a new life are expected to know the community,” said Tjuk when giving a statement at Pura Mangkunegaran, Surakarta, on Monday, November 2, 2026.
According to him, the procession is one part of the Mangkunegaran tradition that has a connection with relationships among humans. Through that tradition, family events are also linked with the life of the surrounding community.
In the procession later, the two brides and grooms will wear Kasatriyan attire. The arrangement of the parade, attire, music, and procedures that accompany the procession become part of the Mangkunegaran tradition inherited across generations.
Another Spokesperson for Dhaup Ageng, R.Ay.T. Ayu Rosetyastuti, said the Mangkunegaran family wants to share the happiness of that wedding with the community. Therefore, a number of series of activities are prepared so that residents can join in giving prayers and blessings to the two brides and grooms.
In addition to the procession, Mangkunegaran is holding Mangayubagyo Dhaup Ageng on November 6-8, 2026, at Pamedan Pura Mangkunegaran. The activity titled Srawung Kabagyan is open to the public.
Procession Route and Traffic Engineering
Based on information regarding traffic arrangements delivered by the Surakarta City Transportation Agency, the procession group will depart from Pura Mangkunegaran toward Jalan Ronggowarsito. The group will then move west toward the Dr. Supomo Four-Way Intersection or Gajah Lahan.
Next, the parade will turn left toward the District Court area, Pasar Pon Intersection, Jalan Diponegoro, before re-entering the Pura Mangkunegaran area.
Head of the Traffic Division of the Surakarta City Transportation Agency, Andri Wahyudi, said traffic engineering will be carried out situationally during the procession process.
The diversion of flow is estimated to take place starting from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. WIB. Temporary closures of a number of road sections are carried out to provide space for the procession group.
One of the engineering prepared is the application of contraflow on Jalan Teuku Umar. Vehicles from the north and east directions that cannot pass toward the Mangkunegaran area will be directed south through Jalan Teuku Umar.
Meanwhile vehicles from the south direction that want to go north will be diverted to the Nonongan area or to the east. After the procession is finished, traffic flow is estimated to return to normal.
The Transportation Agency is also preparing arrangements at a number of intersections, among them the Ramayana Four-Way Intersection and the Keprabon Four-Way Intersection.

Public Allowed to Watch the Procession
Through its press release, the Dhaup Ageng committee stated that the public is allowed to welcome the procession along the determined route. However, residents are asked to follow the directions of officers in order to maintain order, security, and the solemnity of the procession.
That procession becomes one of the series that connects the Mangkunegaran family wedding with the people of Surakarta City.
The Dhaup Ageng of Gusti Sura and K.P.H. F.X. Adimas Rosdian itself take place on November 3-7, 2026. This wedding becomes the first Dhaup Ageng at Mangkunegaran after 18 years, since the wedding of G.R.Aj. Putri Agung Suniwati in 2008. (gts/yul/mzm)
