Chicago, en.SERU.co.id – BLACKPINK’s Jennie headlined Lollapalooza Chicago on August 1, 2026, performing on the Bud Light Stage at Grant Park.
The performance made history, marking the first time a female K-pop solo artist has headlined the festival.
Jennie was scheduled to take the stage at 8:55 p.m. CDT and closed Day 3 of the event. She shared the headlining slot with Charli XCX, Lorde and Tate McRae.
According to Times Now, Jennie premiered four unreleased songs, including Sweet Tooth and Fallen Angel, while also performing hits such as Mantra, Love Hangover, ZEN, Seoul City, Starlight, and like JENNIE.
Critical Response and Coverage
Prior to the performance, i-dle member Yuqi expressed support, stating, “JENNIE! I love her, I love her so much.”
In a review published by the Chicago Sun-Times, critic Selena Fragassi wrote that the set “lacked fire early on in the set” when compared with Jennie’s previous performances alongside BLACKPINK. Fragassi noted that the inclusion of multiple new and unreleased tracks limited immediate audience engagement for general festival attendees. She identified “Mantra” and “like Jennie” as standout moments, stating that those performances “proved why she was tapped as a headliner in the first place.”

The set was made available via live stream on Disney+ and Hulu in select regions. Social media activity related to the performance included the hashtag #JENNIEownsLollapalooza.
