Hollywood, en.SERU.co.id — Miley Cyrus officially received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday (22/5/2026). The 33-year-old singer was awarded the 2,845th star in the Recording category at 7011 Hollywood Boulevard. She could not hold back her tears as she delivered her acceptance speech.
She wore a custom black lace Versace gown and looked visibly touched throughout the ceremony. Her mom Tish, sister Brandi, and fiancé Maxx Morando were there to support her, along with speakers Anya Taylor-Joy and Donatella Versace.
In her speech, Miley reflected on the long journey it took to reach this point. She recalled something her dad Billy Ray often told her:
“My dad used to say that a skyscraper starts with a jackhammer. So does a star on the Walk of Fame, by the way. And it’s not about the force, but it’s about the repetition. What feels so special to me about this star is that it’s an accumulation of devotion.”
She also spoke about what the star means to her personally, referencing the idea of leaving something behind.
“This star somehow represents immortality, and although I love the lyric, the fact that I won’t [live forever] is what creates the urgency that sets my heart on fire.”
The most emotional moment came when she thanked her loved ones. Her voice broke as she said:
“This is where it gets me. To my family, my future family, parents, my mom, my siblings, my friends, my collaborators, thank you for loving and supporting not only the choices that I make, but my fears, and then facing them with me. Today is something that I’ll never forget and I’m always going to cherish. I love you all so much, thank you.”

She quickly slipped on her sunglasses to hide her tears. Many noticed that “my future family” was a clear nod to her fiancé Maxx, who stood beside her.
Miley also shared a warm message for her fans:
“To my fans, you are the stars that make my dream a reality every day for your love and support and I thank you.”
It was a heartfelt ceremony for an artist who started on Disney Channel as Hannah Montana and has since become one of pop music’s most authentic voices.
