Malang, en.SERU.co.id – Bank Indonesia’s Malang Representative Office is strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and tourism through Sapta Rona Pesona 2026, a collaborative event involving seven regions in its working area. The festival aims to elevate local businesses and tourism destinations by promoting digitization, inclusive finance and sharia principles while showcasing each region’s unique strengths and expanding market access, including faster adoption of QRIS digital payments.
Head of Bank Indonesia Malang Representative Office Indra Kuspriyadi said this year’s Sapta Rona Pesona is the result of close collaboration among Kota Malang, Kabupaten Malang, Kota Batu, Kota Pasuruan, Kabupaten Pasuruan, Kota Probolinggo and Kabupaten Probolinggo.
“The event runs for four days from 30 July to 2 August 2026. It is a momentum to display the superior potential of each region while connecting MSME players with various business development opportunities,” Indra said at the opening ceremony held at Grand Hall Matos on Thursday, 30 July 2026.
This year’s theme is “Satu Pesona Tujuh Daerah, Menguatkan UMKM, Pariwisata, melalui Digitalisasi, Keuangan Inklusif dan Syariah” (One Charm, Seven Regions: Strengthening MSMEs and Tourism through Digitization, Inclusive and Sharia Finance).
Sapta Rona Pesona 2026 is packaged as a mix of fair, trade, talkshow and competition under the concept of Warna, Rasa dan Makna (WARM – Colour, Taste and Meaning). Organisers emphasise that the event is designed to move beyond ceremony and become a turning point that helps MSMEs upgrade and grow sustainably.
The programme focuses on several key areas of collaboration: strengthening MSME capacity and competitiveness, expanding market reach and financing access, reinforcing supply chains and price stability, and accelerating digital payment systems.

“We hope the MSMEs taking part will improve their quality and gain wider market access and financing opportunities after joining Sapta Rona Pesona 2026,” Indra added.
Activities are not limited to Malang Town Square. Events are also being held at various community centres and creative markets across the working area. The lineup includes MSME curation, QRISMA FEST, Digimatch, Wastranova, Sijules, Qurbania, Halal Chef Competition, SATRIA, Jazz Gunung Bromo, Festival Batik dan UMKM, and Tong-tong Market.
Economic performance in the seven regencies and cities under Bank Indonesia Malang’s coverage remains solid, with growth rates above both East Java and national averages. Digital transactions have also surged. QRIS transaction volume in the area rose 166 percent compared with the same period last year.
“This strong QRIS growth is a momentum to further accelerate economic digitization, especially so that MSME players can continue to develop,” Indra said.
Deputy Head of Bank Indonesia East Java Representative Office Rifki Ismal underlined that MSME development remains a national priority. Indonesia has around 65.5 million MSMEs, accounting for about 99 percent of all business units. The sector contributes roughly 62 percent of national GDP and employs 97 percent of the workforce.
Bank Indonesia supports MSMEs through three main pillars: business corporatisation, improvement of product capacity and quality, and expanded access to bank financing. These efforts take the form of training, business matching, product exhibitions and financing facilitation. Rifki expressed hope that participating MSMEs will eventually reach export markets.
Sapta Rona Pesona forms part of the lead-up to Karya Kreatif Indonesia 2026 in Jakarta and the Festival Ekonomi Syariah Jawa. Through these platforms, local products gain greater national exposure.
