Jakarta, en.SERU.co.id — Veteran comedian and actor Simson Rarameha Ngadang, better known as Temon, died on Sunday morning, July 12, 2026, at the age of 59.
While the exact cause of death is still awaiting confirmation, those close to him said he had a history of hypertension.
Temon’s assistant, Febry, confirmed the news, saying the comedian passed away that morning. His body was taken to a hospital before being moved to the family home for mourning.
“Yes, it happened this morning. He’s still at the hospital for now. We don’t know the exact timing yet,” Febry told reporters.
Before his passing, Temon left a heartfelt message for his children: to always be good people, avoid burdening others, and strive to be useful to those around them.
A Long Career in Entertainment
Temon was a familiar face in Indonesian entertainment for decades. He began his career as a radio announcer before breaking into comedy. He gained widespread popularity through the hit sitcom Abdel dan Temon Bukan Superstar alongside fellow comedian Abdel Achrian.
A graduate of the University of Indonesia’s Faculty of Psychology, Temon also dabbled in music, releasing the single Raja Disko in 2014. He appeared in numerous television comedy programs, feature films, and TV series throughout his career.
Pride and a Final Farewell
Just weeks before his death, Temon shared a joyful moment on Instagram (@temontemplar27). On June 24, 2026, he posted a photo with his daughter, Rambu, who had just graduated with cum laude honors. Beaming with pride and flashing a thumb-up, he wrote: “My kid graduated, cum laude, coy!”
Rambu later said she never imagined that graduation day would be their last time together as a family.
“I’m so grateful we all got to gather, take photos, and celebrate. I really didn’t expect it,” she recalled.

She received news that her father had been rushed to the hospital around 8 a.m. on Sunday. Tragically, by the time the family arrived, they were informed he had already passed away.
Rambu said their last conversation took place on Wednesday night. Temon didn’t mention any health issues and simply encouraged her to attend a seminar. The family had no inkling that his condition had worsened.
Reflecting on her father’s final advice, Rambu shared:
“He told me to become a good person, don’t trouble others, and above all, be someone who benefits other people.” (aan/mzm)
