Beijing, en.SERU.co.idXiaomi, through its Redmi brand, officially introduced the Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max smartphones on Tuesday evening, August 11, 2026, in China. The dual flagship models emphasize high performance, 185Hz refresh rate displays, large-capacity batteries, and 200-megapixel main cameras. The standard Redmi K100 model is scheduled for a later release.

Xiaomi President Lu Weibing outlined the positioning of the two devices in earlier Weibo posts. He described the K100 Pro as an all-round flagship in the approximately 4,000 yuan segment without major compromises, while the K100 Pro Max aims to set a new benchmark for gaming experiences. Lu noted the decision to advance the K100 series launch amid rising memory and component costs.

Key Specifications from Reports

According to GSMArena, the Redmi K100 Pro uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series chipset (model SM8850-1-AB), a binned version of the full Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with an Adreno 840 GPU featuring two cores at 1.2 GHz. The K100 Pro Max employs the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Both models support up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage up to 512 GB, with the Pro Max offering a 1 TB option. An additional D2 AI chip assists gaming performance.

Display differences are notable. The K100 Pro features a 6.59-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution (2,510 x 1,156 pixels) and a 185Hz refresh rate. The K100 Pro Max includes a larger 6.9-inch AMOLED display at 2,608 x 1,200 pixels, also at 185Hz and using M11 luminescent material. Both incorporate Super Pixel technology.

Camera setups center on a 200 MP main sensor with a 1/1.56-inch size and optical image stabilization. The K100 Pro Max adds a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom (ISOCELL JN5) supporting up to 100x digital zoom and a 50 MP ultrawide lens. The K100 Pro uses a 2.5x telephoto and an 8 MP ultrawide.

Battery capacities reach 8,580 mAh (silicon-carbon) on the K100 Pro and 9,070 mAh on the Pro Max. Charging support includes 100W wired, 50W wireless, 27W reverse wired, and 22.5W reverse wireless on both. The Pro Max features a larger ice-sealed circulating cooling pump measuring 6,300 mm² compared with 5,150 mm² on the Pro.

Gizmochina reports that the Pro Max includes a Bose-tuned 2.1-channel audio system with dual full-range drivers and a dedicated subwoofer. Both devices offer IP66/68/69 protection, a 3D ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, and run HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

Pricing and Availability

Launch prices in China, as reported by GSMArena and Gizmochina, are as follows:

  • Redmi K100 Pro: Starts at CNY 3,699 (approximately US$548) for the 12 GB/256 GB variant, rising to CNY 4,699 for the 16 GB/512 GB model.
  • Redmi K100 Pro Max: Starts at CNY 4,199–4,499 (approximately US$622–670) for the 12 GB/256 GB variant, up to CNY 5,999 for the 16 GB/1 TB configuration.

The phones are currently available only in China through Xiaomi’s official channels. There is currently no confirmed global launch date for either model.
