Malang, en.SERU.co.id – Gamma Grape Experience Pakis offers a refreshing take on agrotourism, combining hands-on education about 99 grape varieties with enjoyable recreational activities perfect for families. Located in Jalan Raya Sukoanyar, Desa Sukoanyar, Kecamatan Pakis, Kabupaten Malang, Indonesia the destination has quickly become one of the regency’s standout attractions.
Operational Manager Arik Cahyanto explained that the site began as a personal passion project. The owner, an avid grape enthusiast since 2022, initially developed a greenhouse to cultivate the fruit. By 2023, it had evolved into a full-fledged tourist destination where visitors can get up close with grape farming.
“Gamma Grape started from the owner’s hobby of growing grapes in the plantation. We built the grape greenhouse as an agrotourism spot, and now it features around 99 varieties from four countries: Russia, Ukraine, the United States, and Japan,” Arik said.
The 3.6-hectare complex goes far beyond just vineyards. Guests can enjoy comfortable accommodation and a restaurant, plus a range of recreational facilities including a swimming pool, playground, fishing pond, billiard tables, and a colorful rainbow slide. Educational programs cover painting classes, cooking sessions, outbound activities, and in-depth grape cultivation lessons — from seedling to harvest.
Harvests from the vineyard are turned into a variety of signature products served at the restaurant or sold as souvenirs. These include grape leaf chips, grape fried rice, grape coffee, smoothies, nastar cookies, grape sauce, and more. The team continues to expand the menu with new creations.
For the upcoming school holiday season in June–July 2026, Gamma Grape is offering a special promotion: free entry for the first 100 visitors each day. Those looking to stay longer can book cottages starting at Rp250,000, which includes unlimited access to all attractions. Regular entry tickets are priced at Rp10,000 on weekdays and Rp15,000 on weekends, with individual attractions and the grape education tour at Rp20,000 each.
Public response has been overwhelmingly positive since opening, particularly among families and school groups from kindergarten to high school level. In 2025, the site welcomed 100–200 visitors on weekdays and up to 500 on weekends.
Looking ahead, the management plans further innovations, including coffee education programs featuring local varieties like Kopi Dampit and Kopi Kawi, a mini train, and unique coffee-grape fusion experiences.
Arik hopes Gamma Grape Experience will continue delivering distinctive educational tourism while becoming a source of pride and a must-visit destination in Malang.

Getting There
The location is easy to reach from Malang City. Take Jalan LA Sucipto through Blimbing, continue toward Pakis, and after the Abd Saleh Airport fighter jet intersection, head east to the Pasar Tradisional Pakis junction. Turn left and drive approximately five kilometers — the site will be on the left side of the road.
