Ohio, en.SERU.co.id – Caleb Shomo, frontman of metalcore band Beartooth, publicly came out as gay on Saturday (23/5/2026). After Caleb announced his sexuality, his wife Fleur Shomo who confirmed that their nearly 14-year marriage has come to an end.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Caleb opened up about his journey. He wrote:
“There’s been a lot of speculation surrounding my personal life as of late and I feel compelled to set the record straight before it affects those I love any further. I am a proudly gay man. This is something I’ve been unpacking and reckoning with in my life for quite some time now. I spent a decade burying feelings with alcohol…”
He added that getting sober helped him finally accept who he is.
Fleur responded not long after with her own emotional statement on Instagram in a since-deleted post. She confirmed the marriage has ended but made it clear she still cares deeply for Caleb.
“The past few months have been a very disorienting and hurtful time to navigate. For both of us. But I will always want to love, protect and support Caleb. I have cared more about his well-being over the years than anything else in the world.”

She continued:
“To support him whilst losing everything has been incredibly hard to figure out… Our story was a good one. And now it’s done.”
Fleur also shared an old video of the couple dancing together, a quiet nod to the life they once shared.
The pair had been married since 2012 and generally kept their relationship private throughout Caleb’s music career. While many fans have praised Caleb’s honesty, others have expressed sympathy for Fleur and the difficult situation she’s facing.
