Batu, en.SERU.co.id – Desa Wisata Pandanrejo in Bumiaji District, Batu City, East Java, continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading nature tourism destinations. For only Rp25,000 per person, visitors already receive facilities including a traditional farmer’s hat (caping), a picking basket, scissors, and the company of a local tour guide. Guests also receive a Welcome Drink in the form of a glass of fresh strawberry juice, plus five free strawberries.
“Visitors can directly experience the fun of selecting and picking California-type strawberries that are known for their medium to large size, predominantly sweet taste, and distinctive fragrant aroma,” said Andri Ashari, manager of the Lumbung Stroberi, strawberry picking tourism site in Batu City.
Andri, as he is commonly called, explained that the freshly picked strawberries can later be taken home using a weighing system priced at Rp6,000 per ounce. Visitors also have another option to buy one box of fresh strawberries in a 500-gram package.
“For selected fresh strawberries in a 500-gram package, the price is Rp30,000,” he said.
Andri added that for tourists who want to extend their holiday and enjoy the calm mountain night atmosphere, the area provides a camping site. The modern integrated camping accommodation facility is called Campa Strawberry Glamping Site.
“Its location is strategic. Campa offers a Korean-style glamping experience equipped with various accommodation options, ranging from camping ground rental to exclusive tents.”
“For those who bring their own tents (starting from Rp250,000 on weekdays to Rp350,000 on weekends), up to exclusive tents with a capacity of 2 to 8 people (such as Couple, Landy, Tenta, and Village types) priced from Rp400,000 to Rp1,300,000 per night,” he mentioned.
Facilities provided within the glamping area are very complete, starting from comfortable foam mattresses, bed covers, and private camp kitchen equipment. The facilities also include electricity, free Wi-Fi access, and toilets with hot water. Even more attractive, campers are treated to extraordinary views.

“Guests can enjoy the beauty of the sunrise, the landscape of Mount Panderman, the expanse of strawberry gardens, and the romantic city light view at night,” he added.
Besides picking strawberries and camping, Desa Wisata Pandanrejo and the Campa area also provide a wide range of outdoor activities that boost adrenaline and are suitable for outbound, gathering, or study tour activities. Activity options that can be done include Fun Rafting & Tubing to explore the swift currents of the Brantas River and Kali Lanang River using rubber boats or special donut boats. These adrenaline-testing activities can of course be carried out under the supervision of professional water rescue teams.
“Guests can also explore the plantation trails by ATV or test team strategy through paintball game simulations,” he added again.
Andri also added that learning programs on strawberry plant cultivation up to the practice of processing derivative products such as jam and strawberry juice drinks become other educational tourism options.
