Malang, en.SERU.co.id — Yamaha has introduced two fresh variants of its Gear Ultima 125 Hybrid, the Hybrid Smart and Hybrid Solid, during a lively carnival event at Lapangan Tumapel in Singosari on Sunday (21/6/2026). The new models join the existing Standard and S variants already available in Indonesia.
The mini-launch aims to offer customers more choices and address growing demand for advanced safety features, according to Jonas Jonathan, SPV Training & Development at PT Roda Sakti Surya Megah (RSSM), Yamaha’s official dealer for the Malang region.
“This time, we’re launching the latest variants: Gear Ultima Hybrid Smart and Gear Ultima Hybrid Solid, completing the three-model Hybrid lineup. These new versions come with several premium features not found on the Standard and S models,” Jonas said during the event.
Local residents turned out in force for the carnival, joining a morning health walk, product presentations, a showcase of Yamaha’s latest motorcycles, and test ride sessions.
Gear Ultima Hybrid Smart: Safety-First Flagship
Positioned as the top-tier model, the Gear Ultima Hybrid Smart stands out with its Smart Key System (keyless entry), designed to enhance security and reduce the risk of theft.
Buyers who purchase the Smart variant throughout 2026 will receive a special bonus: two remote keyless fobs instead of the usual single remote.
“Normally, customers only get one remote. But for the Gear Ultima Smart in 2026, we’re including two right from the start. This way, the bike is more secure, and owners don’t have to worry if one key goes missing,” Jonas explained.
Beyond the keyless system, Yamaha Gear Ultima Smart variant packs a comprehensive set of features, including:
- Smart Key System, increase the sense of security for drivers from the risk of motor vehicle theft.
- Stop & Start System (SSS) for better fuel efficiency at traffic lights
- Hazard lights for emergency situations
- Smartphone connectivity
- Digital speedometer
For riders who prioritize looks, Yamaha offers the Gear Ultima Hybrid Solid. The main difference from the Standard model lies in its vibrant color scheme.
“While the Standard model uses plain black rims, the Solid model offers brighter, fresher, and more expressive color options. The Gear Ultima Solid’s rims are specifically designed to match the stripes on the motorcycle’s body,” Jonas explained.

General Features of the Latest Yamaha Gear Ultima Variant
All Gear Ultima Hybrid models retain the proven Blue Core 125cc hybrid engine, enhanced by Smart Motor Generator (SMG) technology and Electric Assist Power Start.
“This technology provides additional power (acceleration assistance) that makes the motorcycle feel much lighter during the first three seconds of starting. It also effectively reduces fuel consumption. Internal testing results show very efficient fuel consumption, reaching 58.6 kilometers per liter,” he concluded.
