Los Angeles, en.SERU.co.id — Britney Spears has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of wet reckless driving in connection with her March DUI arrest, allowing her to avoid any jail time.
According to Ventura County officials, the 44-year-old singer entered the plea through her lawyer on May 4. She received one year of informal probation, must complete a DUI education program and three months of substance abuse treatment, and will pay a fine.
“She took responsibility early on,” said Ventura County District Attorney Erik Nasarenko.
What Happened
Spears was pulled over on March 4, 2026, on US 101 in Ventura County after other drivers reported her speeding and swerving. Police found an empty wine glass in her car and a bottle of Adderall that wasn’t prescribed to her. Although her breathalyzer reading was below the legal limit, she failed the field sobriety tests.
Bodycam and dashcam footage released on May 21 showed officers conducting the tests and placing her in handcuffs. In the video, Spears appeared chatty and even spoke with a British accent at one point. TMZ first obtained the footage, which quickly spread across major outlets.
She was released a few hours later and voluntarily checked into a treatment facility. She completed rehab and was out by late April.

Her Recent Comments
Back in January, Spears posted on Instagram saying she has no plans to perform in the U.S. again.
“I will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons. But I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and Australia very soon. He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!!” She wrote.
She was referring to her 19-year-old son, Jayden Federline.
As of mid-May, she continues posting dance videos on Instagram as usual, describing them as part of her personal healing process.
This latest chapter fits into the ongoing turbulence in Spears’ life since her conservatorship ended in 2021. So far, her team has not issued any new public comment on the released footage.
