Surabaya, en.SERU.co.id – Amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus has reassured the public that fuel (BBM) supply and distribution across East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara remain safe, stable, and fully under control. The company is closely monitoring global developments that could potentially disrupt domestic energy distribution.
Ahad Rahedi, Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus, stated that current fuel stock levels in the region are at a secure threshold.
“The average fuel stock resilience in the Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus area is confirmed to be sufficient to meet community needs during the Ramadan month and Eid al-Fitr celebrations. This availability is continuously strengthened through routine and scheduled supplies in line with established supply and distribution planning. It is further supported by the build-up stock pattern that has been implemented since before Ramadan,” Ahad emphasized in an official statement to SERU.co.id on Friday, March 6, 2026.
He added that fuel distribution to retail outlets (SPBUs and agents) has proceeded smoothly without significant obstacles so far. The regional unit continues to enhance cross-sectoral coordination with government authorities, law enforcement, and various stakeholders to anticipate any dynamics or potential disruptions in the distribution chain.
As a proactive measure, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus has implemented the RAE method (Regular, Alternative, and Emergency) in managing the energy supply chain and distribution.
“Various mitigation steps are being taken to ensure supply resilience remains intact, while prioritizing worker safety, asset security, and operational continuity through intensive monitoring and strengthened risk management,” Ahad concluded.
In preparation for the Eid homecoming (mudik) flow and Idul Fitri festivities, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus will officially launch the Kick Off of the Ramadan and Idul Fitri Task Force (Satgas) on March 9. This dedicated task force is established to guarantee readiness across infrastructure, supply volumes, and energy services for the public throughout the Ramadan and Idul Fitri period.
Pertamina also urges the public to remain calm and purchase fuel only according to actual needs, avoiding unnecessary panic buying. If any violations or discomfort are encountered at fuel retail outlets, citizens are encouraged to report them via the Pertamina Contact Center at 135. (*/rhd)
