Malang, en.SERU.co.id – JNE is proactively preparing for the expected spike in delivery volumes during Ramadan, strengthening its infrastructure and operational capacity across the board. The company forecasts positive growth of 20–30% in shipment volumes compared to the previous year.

Branch Manager of JNE Malang, Windhu Abiworo, noted that Ramadan and Idul Fitri represent one of the annual peak periods for logistics activity. This surge is fueled by higher consumer spending, parcel deliveries, and booming e-commerce transactions.

“This growth is primarily driven by the fashion, food and beverage, and household essentials sectors, alongside growing customer trust in JNE’s services,” Windhu stated in an official release to SERU.co.id.

JNE has implemented comprehensive preparations, bolstering infrastructure and operations. Supported by over 50,000 employees and 11,000 fleet vehicles, the company is optimizing its 4-hectare Mega Hub strategically located near Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten. This facility features an Automatic Sorting Center to accelerate sorting and distribution processes.

Additionally, JNE leverages its network of more than 8,000 service points nationwide, while extending operating hours and optimizing distribution routes in high-volume areas.

“Collaboration and synergy with various transportation partners are being further strengthened to ensure smooth deliveries throughout Ramadan and Idul Fitri,” Windhu added.

Challenges in Maintaining Service Quality During Ramadan

Potential hurdles include mudik traffic congestion, restrictions on land transport, adverse weather, and overcrowded distribution routes. These have been anticipated through flexible multimode distribution strategies.

“JNE optimizes land, air, and sea routes, while utilizing real-time monitoring technology to uphold on-time delivery and service level agreements (SLA),” Windhu explained.

With strong operational readiness, technology integration, and partnerships, JNE is confident in sustaining high-quality service during Ramadan. The company believes that when the surrounding ecosystem grows healthily, JNE grows alongside it.

“This commitment aligns with the spirit of ‘Connecting Happiness,’ working together with all stakeholders to deliver joy through reliable shipments and support Indonesia’s moments of togetherness during Ramadan and Idul Fitri,” he concluded. (rhd)
