Batu, en.SERU.co.id – What does it feel like to walk on the moon’s surface with low gravity, or interact directly with smart robots based on artificial intelligence (AI)? That experience is no longer merely a wish for tourists visiting the Mega Science Center and Culture Museum at Jatim Park 1 in Batu City.
Since the trial opening stage that began on September 16, 2026, Jawa Timur Park (JTP) Group has officially presented its newest education and recreation destination: Mega Science Center and Culture. The attraction located at Jatim Park 1 carries the experiential learning concept. This destination is designed so that visitors do not merely become spectators or readers of information boards.
“Every corner of the attraction invites visitors to try, feel, and interact directly with science phenomena, modern technology, natural disaster knowledge, up to the wealth of Nusantara culture,” said Marketing and Public Relations Manager of Jawa Timur Park Group, Titik S. Ariyanto.
Titik explained that visitor exploration begins from setting foot in the outdoor area through the excitement of the Gravity Coaster attraction. Upon stepping into the indoor area, visitors are immediately welcomed by the Physics Zone that presents interactive installations such as bone connections, electricity-magnet, up to gyroscope games. Entering the Space Zone, the outer space adventure atmosphere is increasingly felt through rocket displays, planet videotron, Tesla Coil, and astronaut clothing.
“Here, the Lunar Walk attraction becomes one of the main magnets, providing a simulation of artificial gravity conditions resembling the moon’s surface,” said Mbak Titik, as she is addressed.
No less captivating, the Disaster Zone presents realistic mitigation education through earthquake simulations, hurricane, Hormuz Storm Cinema, up to the First Twister attraction that shows the dynamics of storm formation. For lovers of future technology, the Robotics and AI Zone is ready to amaze through GO2 dog robot attractions, Brain Race Car, Jumping Grid, Robot Dance, as well as the presence of the G1 humanoid robot.

When a concept can be felt through experience, we hope the process of understanding science, technology, or culture becomes more interesting and easily accepted by various circles,” she said.
After satisfyingly exploring the sophistication of science, the journey can be continued to the Culture Zone and Islam Zone. Visitors are invited to trace the nation’s historical traces through the Majapahit Area, Wilwatikta Temple, Wayang Potehi exhibition, as well as the treasury of Islam’s development in Indonesia. To complete the recreation experience, workshops and daily art performances are also held every 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. WIB.
“What is displayed starts from the making of Wayang Suket, Terracotta, Srimulat performances, up to Keris Dance,” she added.
As an official partner of the Co-Branding Wonderful Indonesia program together with the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia. The presence of the Mega Science Center and Culture Museum increasingly affirms JTP Group’s commitment in presenting world-class educational tourism destinations in East Java.
