Jakarta, en.SERU.co.id – The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the Hajj Organizing Cost (BPIH) for the year 1448 H / 2027 M. The average BPIH is set at Rp98,466,351.35 per pilgrim, with the average final payment due from each pilgrim standing at around Rp23 million.

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf stressed that the financing structure was carefully calculated. It prioritizes the principles of fairness, accountability, and the long-term sustainability of hajj finances, based on exchange rate assumptions of USD 1 = Rp17,500 and SAR 1 = Rp4,666.67.

“We are committed to ensuring that the quality of services for Indonesian hajj pilgrims in the Holy Land remains optimally maintained. Balanced between the burden on pilgrims and the optimization of benefit value,” Irfan Yusuf said.

Share of costs between pilgrims and benefit value

Of the total BPIH, the portion borne by pilgrims (Bipih) is set at 55.50 percent, or an average of Rp54,648,825. The remaining 44.50 percent, averaging Rp43,817,526.35, is covered by Benefit Value funds.

The minister added that the government remains committed to maintaining efficiency across every line of pilgrim services, both in Indonesia and in Saudi Arabia, to deliver maximum protection and comfort.

“We want to ensure that every rupiah of hajj funds, whether sourced from Bipih or from Benefit Value, is managed transparently. And fully returned in the form of the best services for pilgrims. Aspects of comfort, accommodation, consumption, and pilgrim guidance are our main priorities,” the minister stated.

Adjusted repayment structure eases the load on pilgrims

The 2027 Bipih repayment structure has been adjusted to lighten the financial burden on pilgrims. From the total Bipih of Rp54,648,825, deductions are made for the initial deposit of Rp25 million, a Virtual Account credit of Rp3.4 million, and a government subsidy of Rp3.2 million.

This leaves an average final repayment of Rp23,048,825. The subsidy formula, implemented under presidential instruction, reduces the amount pilgrims must pay by Rp3,384,981.58 compared with 2026.

Government to cover potential shortfalls

The Bipih amount per pilgrim varies by embarkation point. Pilgrims departing from Aceh embarkation, for example, face the lowest Bipih, while other embarkations adjust according to flight costs and full-board services in Saudi Arabia.

“To all prospective hajj pilgrims included in the quota allocation for the year 1448 H/2027 M, prepare yourselves.
