Jakarta, en.SERU.co.id – Alumni of Politeknik Negeri Malang (Polinema) successfully raised Rp160 million in scholarship funds through the eighth Charity Tournament Golf Director Polinema Cup. The event, held at Pondok Indah Golf Course in Jakarta on Sunday, 9 August 2026, reflected the alumni community’s ongoing commitment to supporting their alma mater and helping students pursue higher education.
Beyond serving as a sports and networking occasion, the tournament functioned as a practical platform for philanthropy focused on student financial assistance. Polinema Director Ir. Supriatna Adhisuwignjo ST MT explained that the gathering showed how alumni connections can deliver tangible benefits.
“The alumni network can make a tangible contribution to the alma mater. The spirit of togetherness built through golf has grown into a philanthropic movement that directly helps Polinema students,” he said.
The Rp160 million collected came from alumni and partners and will support students who need assistance to continue their studies. Organizers described the funds as a clear expression of care toward the next generation of vocational graduates. At the same time, the eighth edition of the Director Polinema Cup strengthened ties between the institution, its alumni, industry partners and the wider community, creating informal space for conversation, collaboration and a stronger sense of shared ownership of Polinema’s future.

Supriatna, who is serving his second term as director, emphasized the broader value of alumni involvement.
“For Polinema, alumni support plays an important role in strengthening the vocational education ecosystem. Scholarships ease the burden on students and represent a social investment that helps more young people complete their studies and develop their skills.” He added that a university’s success is measured not only by academic results but also by its ability to build networks that benefit students and society.
Polinema hopes the partnership with alumni and partners will continue to grow across scholarships, skills development, industry links and other initiatives that advance vocational education. (rhd)
