Batu, en.SERU.co.id – Mikutopia, a brand-new tourist destination, has arrived to enrich the entertainment options in Batu City. Themed around a whimsical mushroom world, it has quickly become a major draw for visitors, especially during its trial phase coinciding with the Eid al-Fitr holiday period.

Bryan Kenendra, manager of Mikutopia under PT Batu Fantastic Garden, expressed amazement at the overwhelming public enthusiasm. During the free-entry trial from March 14 to 20, visitor numbers surged far beyond initial expectations.

“From March 14 to 19 (today), we’ve averaged around 10,000 visitors per week. This truly exceeds our expectations,” Bryan shared excitedly at the site.

Mikutopia is planned to feature a total of 25 attractions. Currently, 20 rides are fully operational, while the remaining 5 are still under construction.

“Visitor favorites right now include the Ferris wheel (Bianglala), Pendulum, and Roller Coaster,” he noted.

Bryan added that the team aims to have all rides fully operational by the upcoming school holiday season.

“We hope that during the next school break, everything will be ready to offer fresh variety and excitement, so visitors won’t get bored returning to Mikutopia,” he explained.

Spanning 10 hectares, Mikutopia operates through a collaboration with the local village government.

“The land is village-owned, and we use a profit-sharing or land lease model,” he clarified.

With a target daily capacity of 2,500 to 3,500 visitors, the management has prepared parking strategies. Due to high vehicle volumes during the trial, they temporarily implemented open-close parking systems.

“We provide space for about 300 cars and 200 motorcycles. For large buses, we partner with nearby rest areas like Jonggol Tulungrejo and Sidomulyo,” Bryan added.

Visitor safety is a top priority at Mikutopia. The team has coordinated with relevant stakeholders, including the Fire Department (Damkar) and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).

“All our operators have received emergency response training. We’re also in the process of registering for Occupational Safety and Health (K3). Rides are inspected daily to ensure everything is in top condition,” he emphasized.

After the trial ends, regular pricing will apply:

  • Entry Ticket (Regular): Rp40,000 (weekdays) / Rp45,000 (weekends)
  • Unlimited Ride Pass: Rp80,000 (weekdays) / Rp95,000 (weekends) Children under 90 cm tall enter free.

“During the Eid holiday period, weekend rates will be in effect,” he concluded. (dik/mzm)
