“Along with changes in the times, changes in era and changes in generation, we are indeed required to carry out transformation. One of them is the transformation into a digital campus,” said Supriatna after delivering the annual report at the Open Senate Meeting and Scientific Oration for Polinema’s 44th Dies Natalis at Graha Polinema on Wednesday (9/9/2026).

Polinema Completes ICT Development Blueprint for e-Office e-Library e-Book e-Journal and More

Supriatna explained that Polinema is currently refining the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Development Blueprint 2026–2029. The document is expected to serve as the foundation for building a more integrated digital campus ecosystem.

“One concrete step that will soon be implemented is the introduction of e-office across Polinema, scheduled to be launched on Thursday (10/9/2026),” he explained.

In addition to e-office, Polinema is also transforming other digital services. These include the development of a new website and preparations for distance learning in several study programs.

“We are preparing study programs that can implement distance learning. Learning materials will continue to be strengthened with e-books, e-journals, LMS and various other digital systems,” he said.

Digitization will also target library services through the strengthening of the e-library system. This not only improves campus service efficiency but also prepares students to become more adaptive to ongoing technological developments.

Polinema Encourages Development of an Impactful and Sustainable Campus

Polinema is driving the development of an impactful campus concept. One approach is directing student works, learning projects and final assignments to address problems faced by the community. So far Polinema has donated 264 student works to various community groups and partners.

“These works take the form of applied innovations and appropriate technology that can be used by productive community groups, social groups, MSMEs and the industrial sector,” explained the two-term Polinema Director.

Going forward, student works that have economic value will be pushed toward the research commercialization stage. Although Supriatna noted that the process requires time and continuous ecosystem strengthening, the most important aspect is that the pattern trains students to understand real problems in society and deliver solutions through the competencies they possess.

“We are building an ecosystem on campus so it becomes an impactful and sustainable campus. And students themselves become part of that impactful campus,” he emphasized.

Dirjen Saintek of Kemdiktisaintek Appreciates Polinema as a Digital and Impactful Campus

Director General of Science and Technology (Dirjen Saintek) at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof Dr Ahmad Najib Burhani MA, assessed that transformation and innovation have become essential needs for higher education institutions. This is reflected in what Polinema is doing in becoming a digital and impactful campus amid the rapid development of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

“Graduates from Polinema are expected to be increasingly absorbed into the workforce and become innovators who create new jobs, new startups and various new things in society. The training comes through innovation updates and product exhibitions like this so that later they are always upgraded and upscaled sustainably to meet industrial needs,” said Prof Najib Burhani in his scientific oration.

According to Prof Najib Burhani, higher education institutions must begin mapping the types of jobs that will grow in the future. This can then become a consideration in curriculum development and the opening of new study programs.

“Various student activities such as game development, three-dimensional printing technology or 3D printing, design and website creation form part of the continuous learning and innovation process,” he stressed.
