Malang, en.SERU.co.id – MAN 2 Kota Malang has earned national recognition for successfully rolling out the Sekolah Garuda program. The achievement drew praise during a working visit by Indonesia’s Deputy Trade Minister.
Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri visited the school on Friday, July 24, 2026. She highlighted the program as one of President Prabowo Subianto’s top priorities.
“I wanted to see firsthand how Sekolah Garuda is being implemented here. This is a key national program involving several ministries,” Dyah said.
The deputy minister commended MAN 2 Malang for its strong performance. The school has effectively combined academic learning, character development, and international achievements.
Sekolah Garuda serves as a strategic step to prepare young Indonesians for the demographic bonus. With about 68 percent of the population in productive ages, quality education has become crucial.

“The challenge is not just having a large young population. We must improve the quality of our human resources so they can compete globally,” she noted.
Dyah stressed that human capital development sits at the heart of President Prabowo’s administration. The government is also running other initiatives, including Sekolah Rakyat, to expand access and raise education standards.
“Education, nutrition, and health form three complementary pillars. Together they build excellent Indonesian human resources for Indonesia Emas 2045,” she added. (bas/ono)
