He added that the collaboration is expected to support lecturers in pursuing doctoral studies, expand cross-country collaborative research, and increase joint scientific publications. Students will also gain international experience through various exchange programs and joint learning activities.

Meanwhile, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Students and Global Engagement of Massey University, Dr. Tere Denison McGonagle-Daly, highlighted the importance of access to quality education as the foundation for preparing future generations who excel on the global stage.

On the other hand, UB’s Vice Rector for Global Academic Affairs, Henny Rosalinda, SIP, MA, PhD, explained that the forum was designed as a direct meeting platform between professors from Massey University and representatives from the International Relations Office (IRO) of each faculty at UB.

“We will directly connect the professors with the faculty IROs. We hope this will lead to concrete cooperation, such as joint publications, staff and student exchanges, and co-teaching programs,” Henny explained.

The discussions took place in five small groups, bringing together academics from both institutions. This format allowed for more intensive idea exchange and produced more applicable collaboration plans.

The event was attended by 10 professors from Massey University and IRO representatives from all faculties at UB. Through this forum, both institutions hope to produce real cooperation programs, particularly those that will have a direct impact on improving the quality of education and research at the global level.
