Malang, en.SERU.co.id – With the arrival of Ramadan 1447 H/2026, dry cake businesses in Malang are experiencing a notable uptick in demand. Cempaka Cookies stands out, receiving an influx of orders from government bodies, DPRD members, and hospitals due to its reliable quality, delicious flavors, and value-for-money pricing.

Run from home by Djoko Winahyu (60) and Endang Susilowati (55), the venture earns tens of millions of rupiah. Endang describes Ramadan as a truly blessed period, with orders streaming in from diverse customers right from the fasting’s onset. Advance bookings are common to guarantee availability before Eid.

“Alhamdulillah, Ramadan always brings crowds and steady orders. Customers often ask for priority processing to steer clear of holiday rushes. I produce alongside my two daughters, assisted by two family members,” Endang shared at their residence in Pondok Cempaka Indah View, Malang.

The clientele spans government institutions, councilors, and healthcare facilities, placing large orders for staff hampers, business partners, and festive offerings.

For 2026, Cempaka Cookies features beloved classic varieties: kastengel, nastar, putri salju, lidah kucing, palm cheese, sagu keju, choco chip, and thumbprint choco nut—all crafted from heirloom family recipes dating back to 2008.

The secret to success, explained Endang, is the genuine flavor and uniform texture. Preservative-free yet long-lasting thanks to strict hygiene and premium raw materials.

Prices remain market-competitive, with premium 500-gram toples ranging from Rp40,000 to Rp60,000.

“We stand strong on taste and affordability. Premium 500-gram jars at Rp60,000 keep the same high standards,” noted the proud grandmother of four.

Djoko Winahyu provides unwavering support to his wife and daughters. Seasonal in nature, the dry cake line peaks during Ramadan with multimillion-rupiah earnings. Year-round, the business offers catering, nasi kotak, wet cakes, and specialized items like wedding favors and Christmas souvenirs.

“I am optimistic that with consistent quality, affordable prices, and full family support, Cempaka Cookies will endure. It remains a go-to choice for Eid snacks, catering needs, and souvenirs,” said Djoko, owner of the MalangPariwara media outlet. (rhd)
