Malang, en.SERU.co.id – Politeknik Negeri Malang (Polinema) proudly celebrates its 44th Dies Natalis in 2026, marked by a series of prestigious national awards and impressive achievements in international university rankings across Asia.
Director of Polinema, Ir. Supriatna Adhisuwignjo, ST, MT, highlighted that since its establishment in 1982 up to 2026, the institution has consistently upheld its mandate to advance national education and enlightenment.
The 44th anniversary serves as a moment for reflection on its long journey while reinforcing its commitment to becoming an impactful and sustainable vocational campus.
“The core mandate remains unchanged, but our approach to fulfilling it is always adaptive to evolving times, technology, generational shifts, and future challenges,” Supriatna stated on Monday, February 9, 2026.
Supriatna emphasized Polinema’s efforts to strengthen its role as an impactful and sustainable institution through continuous innovation and outstanding accomplishments.
By the end of 2025, the polytechnic had secured 10 national awards from various ministries, including six first-place rankings, two second-place, and two third-place recognitions.
“These achievements demonstrate strong alignment with ministerial policies. We also continue to encourage student and faculty excellence by expanding research that addresses real societal challenges,” he explained.
On the quality front, Polinema has actively pursued national and international assessments and rankings. For the first time, it entered the AppliedHE Public & Private University Ranking: ALL ASIA 2026, placing in the 201–220 band across Asia.
Additionally, Polinema claimed the top spot as Indonesia’s best polytechnic in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, while ranking 48th nationally and approximately 400th globally out of around 1,700 participating institutions.
In celebration of its 44th Dies Natalis—held under the theme “Transformasi dan Inovasi: Mewujudkan Kampus Berdampak dan Berkelanjutan” (Transformation and Innovation: Realizing an Impactful and Sustainable Campus)—Polinema encourages its academic community to drive innovations in curriculum, teaching, research, and educational services. A key focus is strengthening digital learning and technology-based distance education.
“We aim for learning that is increasingly adaptive to technological advancements and accessible to students and communities needing remote options. To support this, we are enhancing our Learning Management System (LMS) and providing dedicated learning studios,” Supriatna added.
He stressed that Polinema must contribute to public welfare, prioritizing not just physical growth or quantitative metrics (such as student numbers, faculty, or facilities) but continuous quality improvement.
“A vocational campus should be embedded in society and industry, not an ivory tower. That’s why Polinema promotes the concept of an impactful campus that delivers solutions to societal issues, business, and industrial needs,” he said.

This commitment is embodied in Polinema’s new core values under the acronym PRIMA: Problem Solving supported by Integrity, Maturity, and Advance Services. These values guide the institution’s sustainable and relevant development.
The Dies Natalis celebrations began with a flag-raising ceremony attended by the entire academic community, followed by the launch of the anniversary mascot, the signing of an integrity pact for a corruption-free campus, and the symbolic release of doves—marking Polinema’s ongoing dedication to self-improvement and excellence.
