Surabaya, en.SERU.co.id – The Media Gathering Intiwhiz 2026 officially kicked off at Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya, where Intiwhiz Hospitality Management introduced a rich blend of cross-cultural experiences and upcoming culinary highlights for Chinese New Year (Imlek) and Ramadan.
General Manager of Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya, Teguh Muliawan, explained that the annual media gathering is a longstanding tradition organized by Intiwhiz Hospitality Management.
The event aims to bring together media professionals, content creators, and influencers to enjoy the finest experiences across various Intiwhiz hotels.
“We are truly grateful for the attendance of all participants at this year’s Intiwhiz Media Gathering. We hope the strong relationships we’ve built so far will continue to grow even closer in the future,” said Teguh on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Teguh added that the three-day program includes visits to several standout properties: Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya, Grand Whiz Hotel Trawas, Whiz Prime Basuki Rahmat Malang, and Grand Whiz Hotel Bromo.
“Each location offers its own unique charm. The journey concludes at Grand Whiz Hotel Bromo, where participants will enjoy the stunning savanna views and the special sensation of an open-air breakfast amid nature,” he shared.

Marcom Manager Camelia Ayu Rahmawati noted that the 2026 Media Gathering opening was particularly special. This year, Intiwhiz Hospitality Management emphasized cultural elements to create memorable moments, especially in welcoming Imlek and Ramadan.
The opening session featured a vibrant angklung performance by the Le Femina Community—a group uniting women from diverse professions and regions through their shared passion for angklung music—infusing the event with strong Nusantara cultural vibes.
Beyond Indonesian traditions, the team introduced a classic Chinese New Year ritual: the Yee Sang Ceremony. Camelia explained that this involves tossing a fresh fish and vegetable salad symbolizing prosperity and good fortune.
“The higher you lift the Yee Sang, the greater the blessings and luck. Usually, people just watch, but today we invited everyone to join in the tossing and lifting together for a hands-on experience,” she said.
As Ramadan approaches, Whiz Luxe Hotel Spazio Surabaya is launching the “Gema Ramadhan Nusantara” theme, showcasing a diverse array of regional Indonesian cuisines to let guests savor the country’s rich flavors.
Sous Chef Eri Purwoko highlighted the Ramadan buffet’s standout feature: authentic Minangkabau Kapau-style dishes. Guests can enjoy eye-catching and flavorful Minang specialties.
“Our flagship offering is Nasi Kapau paired with a variety of classic Minang gulai, including gulai babat (tripe), kikil (tendon), paru (lung), usus (intestines), tambusu, and signature Padang sambal. We also feature perennial favorites like Bebek Peking and Mie Lamian for every special occasion,” Chef Eri detailed.
Additionally, a dedicated Takjil Corner offers assorted porridge dishes, sweet treats, and premium dates from around the world. A full Nusantara buffet spans flavors from Sabang to Merauke.
